The competition saw many of the previous week’s World Cup competitors taking part. Ishoy of Jerseyville, ON and her Olympic Mount Proton, took on a field of 46 top riders competing in the Grand Prix which included many top international dressage riders such as Kyra Kyrkland, Ann Kathrin Linsenhoff , Hubertus Schmidt and Isabel Werth. Ishoy and her 12-year-old dark bay Baden-Wurttemberger gelding were awarded a score of 68.625 %, with one member of the international judging panel giving them a 70.000%, to finish in a tie for eleventh position. The class was won by Germany’s Isabel Werth and Satchmo on a score of 74.417% with country mate Ann Kathrin Linsenhoff and Renoir Unicef in close second with 73.750%. Ishoy’s strong performance in the Grand Prix qualified the pair for the Grand Prix Special where only the top 10 horse/rider combinations declared for the Grand Prix Special proceed. Their ride was awarded a score of 66.92% and placed them in 9th position. The class was again won by Germany’s Isabel Werth and Satchmo with 75.120% Ishoy and Proton (Patriarch I x Rosenkavalier) have returned to Canada where they will be gearing up to earn a berth on the Canadian Dressage Team who will be taking part in the upcoming World Equestrian Games being held August 20 – September 3, 2006 in Aachen, Germany. Communiqué pour publication immédiate Robuste performance de Cindy Ishoy et Proton au CDI3* de Hagen Ottawa, Ontario, le 11 mai 2006 – La finale de la Coupe du Monde d’Amsterdam (Pays-Bas) était à peine terminée que déjà Cindy Ishoy et sa monture olympique Proton (Patriarch I x Rosenkavalier) reprenaient du service, et de fort belle façon, entre le 27 et le 30 avril à l’occasion du CDI3* de Hagen, en Allemagne. Plusieurs participants de la Coupe du Monde avaient suivi le même trajet que le couple canadien, présentant une concurrence de taille dans un Grand prix disputé par 46 concurrents de la stature des Kyra Kyrkland, Ann Kathrin Linsenhoff, Hubertus Schmidt et Isabel Werth. Ishoy (Jerseyville, Ontario) et son hongre Baden-Wurttemberg bai foncé de 12 ans ont obtenu une 12e place dans cette épreuve avec 68,625%, dont une note de 70,000% de la part de l’un des juges internationaux. C’est l’Allemande Isabel Werth qui a remporté la victoire sur Satchmo (74,417%), suivie de près par sa compatriote Ann Katrin Linsenhoff sur Renoir Unicef (73,750%). Cet imposant résultat en Grand prix allait qualifier le couple pour le Grand prix Spécial où seuls les dix meilleurs cavaliers déclarés pour le GPS peuvent prendre part. Le jury leur a accordé cette fois une note de 66,92% assortie de la 9e position. Une fois encore, la grande gagnante fut Isabel Werth avec un score de 75,120%. De retour au pays, Ishoy et Proton se préparent pour les qualifications en vue de se tailler une place au sein de l’Équipe canadienne de dressage participant aux Jeux équestres mondiaux. La prestigieuse compétition se tiendra à Aix-la-Chapelle, en Allemagne, du 20 août au 3 septembre prochain.
